PHM Society is an independent publishing platform and publishes IJPHM Archives and all PHM Society Conference proceedings on its own. In order to allow disseminating cutting-edge research in the field of PHM, most content is published online on phmsociety.org and is available for free to access, without PHM Society membership required. Over the last 10 years, the content published has seen notable attention by industry, academia, and government. Society’s memberships and participation in conferences and journal submissions have increased multi-fold over the years. In addition to two regular issues every year, the journal also runs targeted Special Issues focusing on specific topics relevant to PHM. Guest editors (experts in the field) are invited to manage the issue and focus on most relevant topic areas. Occasionally, if appropriate IJPHM engages in join issues with other journals as long as its open and free access policies are maintained with the arrangement.
Generally speaking, IJPHM favors online open access publishing, however upon request conference proceedings and journal issues are made available in print versions through independent publishing services from time to time. Online publishing model allows us to have a very fast turnaround time. We acknowledge receipt of submissions within three business days, and rigorously review and return a decision to the authors in approximately 8-12 weeks. Thus, papers may be published in a very short time, allowing cutting-edge research to be available to the scientific community when it is most relevant.
Publication Costs and Fees
Journal is run by a number of editors and an editorial board that consists of eminent personalities in the field of PHM and covers academia, industry, and governments all across the globe. Current list of Editors and the editorial board is available at Journal Masthead. The Editors (chief and associate editors) of the journal are responsible for all content published in journal archives during their reigns. While associate editors help determine the technical quality and merits to qualify for publication in the journal, the ultimate control to publish a paper resides with chief editors. The Editors together with the members of the editorial board continuously strive to maintain a high technical quality through thorough and unbiased peer reviews.
As part of the PHM Society IJPHM is governed by Officers of the PHM Society and a Board of Directors, but above all it is run by enthusiastic volunteers who are active professionals and practitioners of PHM in their respective organizations and are driven by the Mission and Goals of the PHM Society.
