The term good girl syndrome refers to a social phenomenon where girls or women feel pressured to conform to societal expectations of being well-behaved, obedient, and pleasing to others. This syndrome can manifest in various ways, such as seeking validation from others, avoiding conflict, and prioritizing the needs of others over their own.Girls and women with the "good girl syndrome" often strive to be seen as polite, accommodating, and nurturing, which can lead to self-sacrifice and neglect of their own desires and aspirations.
