Southwest Airlines Baggage Policy for Passengers are permitted to bring one carry-on bag and one personal item free of charge every flight with Southwest Airlines. The personal item must fit under the seat, and the carry-on bag cannot be larger than 10 x 16 x 24 inches. Bags that are checked must weigh less than 50 pounds and not exceed 62 inches in length, width, and height. There are fees associated with each item. Military personnel and A-List Preferred members are exempt from some rules. Overweight and overweight luggage may be charged more. For the most recent details on baggage allowances and costs, it is suggested to visit Southwest's official website.
